Deep in Woods

Rhythms of Nature have always fascinated me. This is a series of landscape paintings on Wayanad, Kerala,  the birthplace of my Mother. This painting is going to be exhibited at a Group Art Show "Laya - Rhythms of Nature and Dance". The Show is from 4th till 10th October 2013 at Gallery No 4, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, Bangalore.

Flower Girl II

Another one in this series, where she traded with my cousin that he should buy her flowers for Rs 10,  so that he can click her picture.

The Flower Girl

A young girl, who works as a Flower Girl on the streets of Varanasi also attends to school in the afternoon. I love the determined look in her eyes to sell all the flowers for a meagre Rs 30, which meant so much to her, as she uses this money for her studies.

Boy with the Rooster

The Second in the series on Simple Joys of Life. Nanjamma's son Murli holding his pet rooster "Kuruba". They were always inseparable. Can never forget the innocent eyes of Murli.

Wedding Gift

This is a series of paintings on Simple Joys of Life. The village woman carrying a Jackfruit as a Wedding Gift is etched in my childhood memory, that I decided to pay tribute to this beautiful woman Nanjamma.
